In the second term, students will work on costume construction and design using a variety of materials and techniques to help create costumes and pieces for the Academy’s major musical theatre production.

Students will learn how images work, their structure, the basics of Visual Language, and the universal power of pictures to express ideas. Our intent is to sharpen the students’ powers of observation and make better photographs. They will also learn the basics of how cameras and lenses work, the properties of light, the role of highlights, the depth of shadows and the transitions between them. Each week students will explore a theme using these principles. Students may use any digital device to make their pictures and will need access to email to submit their pictures for review in class.
