Theatre I - Junior Acting (Grades K-3)
Young actors will develop self-confidence through theatre games, grow listening skills through storytelling, and promote coordination through movement. Students will learn about expression through improv and mime, character creation, voice projection, enunciation, theatre vocabulary terms, proper stage entrances and exits, and performing in the spotlight.
In addition to our fall and year-end performance events, students who are registered in the fall term Theatre I classes may be considered for roles in our spring musical theatre production.
Grades: K-3
Fridays, 3:30 – 5:00 pm
*Students will be required to also attend rehearsals on Sunday afternoons for January-April in preparation for the spring musical theatre production. At-home preparation and consistent attendance will be required.
