September 2026 – June 2027
Acting
Our acting program nurtures creativity, confidence, and collaboration through engaging, age‑appropriate theatre training. Young performers build foundational skills, explore expressive storytelling, and grow as artists in a supportive, playful environment. All students perform in our end‑of‑term fall and spring showcase events, and those enrolled in fall classes are invited to audition for our Spring Musical Theatre production.
- Acting I (Junior Acting) Grades K–2 — Fridays, 3:30pm-5:00pm (Fall Term and Spring Term)
- Acting II (Intermediate Acting) Grades 3–6 — Fridays, 3:30pm-5:00pm (Fall Term and Spring Term)
Musical Theatre
Our musical theatre program guides students in developing their skills in singing, acting, and dance within a supportive environment that prioritizes process, confidence, and personal growth. As they progress, students expand their artistry through richer vocal harmonies, more complex choreography, and advanced acting techniques.
Advanced Musical Theatre students will dive into their first musical theatre production in the fall term, then will be invited to audition for the all-ages youth spring musical production. These students also contribute to the creative process of the shows behind the scenes, participating in set design and prop building for both productions.
Auditions for our annual spring musical are open exclusively to acting and theatre students enrolled in the fall term program. New students joining us in the spring are warmly welcomed into the ensemble and may be considered for smaller roles, including vocal solo features, when appropriate.
Please note that there is a $50 volunteer deposit required per child for the spring musical theatre program.

Art
Our art program nurtures creativity and artistic growth through progressive, hands‑on classes designed for young creators of all ages. Students begin by exploring foundational drawing, painting, and crafting techniques, then build confidence and skill as they advance into freehand work, sculpting, and mixed‑media projects. Older artists deepen their practice through more challenging, self‑directed studies that push creative boundaries and refine technical ability.
Artwork from all classes is proudly showcased at Amber Academy events and community art exhibitions throughout the year.

Choir
Choir is a fun, inspiring class where students explore music through group and individual singing, as well as percussive instruments. They learn to use their voice as an instrument—building skills in breath support, phrasing, interpretation, posture, stage presence, and other essential vocal techniques. Students sing in a variety of styles, helping to grow confidence, deepen their love of music, and build positive friendships.
Along with our fall and year‑end concerts, choir members may also be invited to perform at local community events.
- Grades K-6 — Mondays, 3:30pm – 4:30pm (Fall Term and Spring Term)
Costumes & Fashion Design
Our costumes & fashion design classes will begin with exploring fabric types and construction methods that familiarize students with sewing techniques. Each student will create a simple up-cycled project of their own to be featured in a fashion show segment of the Academy’s showcase performance at the end of the fall term. In the spring term, students will work on costume construction and design using a variety of materials and techniques to help create costumes and pieces for the Academy’s spring musical theatre production. There will also be holiday themed projects and time for students to make their own creations.
- Grades 5+ — Mondays, 3:30pm – 5:00pm (Fall Term and Spring Term)
Dance
Our dance program offers an inviting introduction to movement for older students who have little or no previous dance experience and want to dip their toes into the world of dance. In a supportive, confidence‑building environment, students learn foundational dance technique, develop performance skills, and rehearse a choreographed routine to share at the end of each term.
In the fall term classes students will explore classic jazz fundamentals, rhythm, style, and expressive movement while building coordination and stage presence. In the spring term students will shift into high‑energy hip-hop, learning dynamic footwork, musicality, and choreography rooted in contemporary styles.
- Grades 6+ — Wednesdays, 3:30pm – 4:30pm (Fall Term and Spring Term)
Photography
Students will learn how images work, their structure, the basics of Visual Language, and the universal power of pictures to express ideas. Our intent is to sharpen the students’ powers of observation and make better photographs. They will also learn the basics of how cameras and lenses work, the properties of light, the role of highlights, the depth of shadows and the transitions between them. Each week students will explore a theme using these principles. Students may use any digital device to make their pictures and will need access to email to submit their pictures for review in class.
- Grades 5+ — Wednesdays, 3:30pm – 5:00pm (Fall Term and Spring Term)
